Russell Howard Review PDF Print E-mail
Written by Kelly Smith
Whew! Russell Howard's chatty laugh extravaganza is absolutely exhausting, in a good way. He's scarily at ease as he tirelessly zig-zags his audience in a rollercoaster of random tales, interupting them all with another tangent and then somehow, miraculously, returning to the original thought seamlessly and without ever coming up for air. I'm only two beers-deep, yet it is a mission to keep up with this guy.

While I finish a laugh and try to grasp hold of the next joke that it is swiftly passing me by, I catch some details on his sex life, long distance relationship woes, some religious humour, the phrase "your anus is virtually perfect" and examples of times when you really can be such an a**. Trying to recap all or even some of the ground covered tonight seems to me simply futile but I will say that Russell is a likeable lad who wins over his audience a million times over and does so comfortably, on a stage almost as big as his reception. You have to love Russell. Catch him if you can and boy, enjoy the ride.
