Clever Peter Review PDF Print E-mail
Written by Thomas Paul
The press release and image for Clever Peter indicate that this group used to be a quartet. The departing member must be kicking herself for leaving this trio behind. Joining the group on the last night of a successful Edinburgh run, the energy, excitement and sheer joy of these talented young performers was clear. The show is sketch-comedy at its best: surreal, unpredictable and most importantly hilarious. Loosely (and at times, weakly) held together with the story of Enid and the voice of the mysterious Peter in her head, the sketches begin at an astonishing hit rate, with tears of laughter in abundance. Losing their way slightly in the latter half, the group only need a bit of tweaking to become the major success that they deserve to, and inevitably will, be.
