Sketchatron Review PDF Print E-mail

Sketch-comedy gets a rough deal. With no acts of this genre nominated for the If.comedy awards, and without the showcase and variety shows reserved for stand-ups you’d think the reason might be that the quality is there. Sketchatron shows that not only would you be wrong in thinking that, you’d be seriously missing out.

A capacity crowd whooped and hollered their way into the Pleasance Beyond, welcoming the best of the festival to this fantastic show. With an atmosphere normally reserved for music festivals, the crowd went wild for the five acts tonight, Tommy and the Weeks, Idiots of Ants, Will & Greg, the Penny Dreadfuls and Pappy’s Fun Club. With each act winning the crowd over with their best and often exclusive material you’d be a fool to not give the show a go. Sketchatron is a rollickingly brilliant night out.
